happier man

We know the world is doomed.
We know that life is cursed.
If you berate the hand of fate,
you'll only make things worse.

Know your limitations.
Formulate a better plan.
Modify your aspirations.
Be a happier man.

and ANOTHER thing!

So I'm looking at my blog stats. It's been a thin 6 or so months since I haven't been updating at all. BUT...

There was a ton of activity on this site for Nov. and Dec.

Because of this site: eroticmassage.blogs.com/.

Erotic Massage.

Not that I am theoretically against this concept.

But I cannot recall a time where the erotic massage industry and I have found something to say publically about each other.

It turns out they weren't sending anybody to this blog so much as they are using this image I took of a Friendly's restaurant in Florence, MA about a year ago:

It should also be noted that THIS is the top ten list for search strings that reached this blog:

  1. 17.95% naked men
  2. 6.98% n-
  3. 5.25% usc football
  4. 3.32% harry caray
  5. 2.46% friendly%27s
  6. 2.26% cat sex
  7. 1.86% massage parlor
  8. 1.80% men naked
  9. 1.80% moustache
  10. 1.46% asian massage

Now go away. Go read some more plays.

smart ass

Someone said to me not long ago, "Oh, so you're an expert on that now?"

No, not really.

Just trying to push conversation beyond simple thoughtless platitudes. Jingoism and cliché rule the day generally speaking whether we're talking sports, politics, or something mundane like TV shows or hair styles.

I'm not condemning. I'm guilty too. See watch this:

Whoop! Gig 'em Aggies!
Bush is a total dick!
God, I love this country!
Wow, the internet! What will they think of next?

It really never stops.

Just observing. I suppose I'm preaching to myself just as much as the four of you reading this. Tomorrow, maybe I'll rant about how much we all say "like," "you know," and "just."

Who knows? Maybe I'll just post naked pictures of Brad.

5 things...

1. New post about Dallas Cowboys and our sweet, clean lord/savior at A Play A Day. It's actually dated Feb 11. Adam and I are falling behind.

2. I think this is my ranking of the 5 Best Picture nominees, in order of how much I liked each one: 1. Capote, 2. Good Night and Good Luck, 3. Munich, 4. Brokeback Mountain, 5. Crash.

3. I think this post should remind football fans of Peter King's "10 Things I Think I Think" in MMQB.

4. My girlfriend/former-roommate/wife turns 29 today. Happy birthday, puppy butt!

5. Friend Jen made a blog with the same template as mine. And that makes me feel nice inside.

my obituary

Talking to Intern Emerita Andrea yesterday, she told me about the homeless man on the Pittsburgh buses that sings Steelers fight songs and accosts other passengers. I informed her that one day she would read this in my obituary: "He was homeless and liked to sing Steelers fight songs on buses."

But today, I've found a headline that will be in my obituary verbatim. Read here.

movie review!!!

I saw Capote and Brokeback this weekend, thus completing my tour through the 5 Best Pic nominees.

Just so you know.

Because?

Because I like you.

a play a day...

Just a quick note that Adam and I are (sort of) keeping up to date with A Play A Day. Check it out. It's neat.

You're neat.
